Our Story
Having worked across the world, Matthew and Josh met by chance in Armidale, Australia.
We formed MadeWithData out of a shared belief that while AI could revolutionise knowledge work, it was also only a bridge technology to wide-spread data trading. We envisage a world where AI would not just be a tool but an enabling force that enhances the abilities of knowledge, labour, and data workers through fair and efficient data exchanges.
Our experiences working with communities of farmers to networks of neurosurgeons across Europe, North and South America and Asia has given us a thirst for helping our global village achieve more with smarter, safer, more valuable data.
MadeWithData exists to supercharge the value of knowledge.
Matthew Wysel
Matthew is an entrepreneur with a PhD in datanomics – the science of why data has value – a Bachelor’s in Aerospace Engineering and a Master’s in Technology Management.
His career has seen him teach neurosurgeons in Western Europe, mentor MBA students in Australia, and conduct ground-breaking satellite refuelling research for NASA.
Matthew is also a lecturer at the University of New England where he teaches innovation, change management and entrepreneurship, and is a Researcher in Residence for the university’s business incubator.
Josh Tuohy
With a background in accounting, Josh is a seasoned business process expert who uses AI to transform businesses, knowledge workers and their communities.
As a high school teacher and the creator of The AI Student YouTube channel, Josh connects students to the opportunities of collaborating with AI and helps educators understand and integrate AI effectively within their practice.
Josh’s unique experience and expertise help drive MadeWithData’s mission to supercharge the value of knowledge.
